One County, Three Different Roof Climates
Lane County isn't uniform. A roof in Noti under heavy fir cover ages differently from one on an open lot in Junction City, and the inspection accounts for that.
The Valley Floor
Eugene, Springfield, Junction City, Coburg and Harrisburg get the full forty-six inches, most of it between November and March. Roofs here age on the wet-dry swing more than on sun.
The West-Side Foothills
Veneta, Elmira, Crow and Noti sit under heavier fir cover. More shade, slower drying, and the highest moss pressure in the county.
The South and East
Creswell, Cottage Grove, Pleasant Hill, Lowell, Dexter, Marcola and Walterville: river valleys, morning fog and long damp mornings on north-facing slopes.
Local, Not a Franchise Route
Richard lives here. The trucks don't come in from out of state for a week and leave. When the warranty matters in year four, the person who did the work is still twenty minutes down the road.
That also means we know what these roofs do. Shade, slope orientation, tree cover and how long a north face stays wet after a valley rain are all part of the assessment, not an afterthought.
